Data processed by PipeCraft
PipeCraft has no public user accounts and does not allow readers to post messages. At launch, personal data may be processed in the following situations.
Messages sent by email
If you contact PipeCraft, the information you choose to provide, your email address and the related correspondence are used to answer the request, maintain necessary follow-up and protect legal rights. The legal basis is taking steps at your request and, where applicable, the legitimate interest in managing correspondence and protecting the publication.
Routine resolved correspondence is retained for no longer than 24 months, unless a longer period is required to establish, exercise or defend legal claims or to comply with a legal obligation.
Audience measurement
Google Analytics 4 is loaded only after you explicitly accept analytics. It may then process a random browser identifier, page and interaction events, approximate country-level location, general browser/device information and consent state. PipeCraft does not send names, email addresses, article-form content or other direct identifiers to Analytics.
PipeCraft uses Google Tag Manager only after analytics consent to load and manage the approved Google Analytics tag. At launch, the container is configured only for that approved analytics purpose and contains no advertising tags.
The legal basis is your consent. Refusing analytics does not restrict access to PipeCraft. You may withdraw consent at any time through Cookie preferences in the footer. Withdrawal stops future Analytics loading in that browser; it does not undo processing that occurred before withdrawal.
Event-level data is configured for 14 months and user-level data for 2 months, without renewing the user-level period on new activity. Standard aggregated reports may remain available according to Google Analytics' service behavior.
Security and delivery logs
The hosting and security infrastructure may temporarily process request time, requested URL, response status, IP address, user agent and diagnostic information to deliver the website, prevent abuse and investigate faults. The legal basis is the legitimate interest in operating a secure and reliable publication.
Production access and security logs are retained for 14 days, except when a specific security incident requires restricted evidence to be retained for longer.
Consent preference
The browser stores a first-party preference recording whether analytics was accepted or rejected, its policy version and the choice date. It is used only to remember your request and expires after 180 days. This storage is necessary to provide the privacy choice and is not used as an analytics identifier.
Service providers
PipeCraft uses the following categories of provider only as needed to operate the website:
- Cloudflare, for DNS, content delivery, TLS and security;
- PRESENCIA DIGITAL, established in SPAIN, for production hosting;
- Google Ireland Limited, for Google Analytics after consent;
- email-routing and destination-mail providers, to deliver messages sent to [email protected].
Providers may use subprocessors. Where processing involves a country outside the European Economic Area, PipeCraft relies on the transfer mechanism and safeguards applicable to the provider and service, such as an adequacy decision or approved contractual safeguards. Current provider details may be requested through [email protected].
Your rights
Subject to the conditions of applicable law, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability or objection. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing already carried out lawfully.
Send a request to [email protected] and identify the right you wish to exercise. Additional information will be requested only when reasonably necessary to confirm identity. You may also lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) at https://www.aepd.es.
Automated decisions and children
Reader data is not used to make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects. PipeCraft is a general technical publication and is not intentionally directed to children.
Changes
Material changes are published on this page with a new effective date. If a change affects optional browser storage or analytics purposes, PipeCraft requests consent again where required.
